26/06/2008 : New Appointments to Pernod Ricard’s management team from 1 July 2008 - Two new Deputy Managing Directors: Thierry Billot and Michel Bord

From 1 July 2008, the management team of Pernod Ricard will be strengthened by the appointment of two new Deputy Managing Directors:

- Thierry Billot has been appointed Deputy Managing Director in charge of Brands. He will be responsible for the ‘Brand Owner’ companies which determine the 15 strategic brands’ policies.

- Michel Bord has been promoted to Deputy Managing Director in charge of the Distribution Network. His duties include the organisation and control of the Group’s distribution networks, as well as the implementation of brands’ strategies in the markets, working together with the Deputy Managing Director of Brands.

Thierry Billot and Michel Bord join the Group’s Management team which consists of Patrick Ricard, Chairman and CEO, Pierre Pringuet, Managing Director, Emmanuel Babeau, Deputy Managing Director in charge of Finance as well as Bruno Rain, Deputy Managing Director in charge of Human Resources.

From 5 November 2008, the date of the next Annual General Meeting, the separation of the office of Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director will take place and the new Group management team will then comprise a Chief Executive Officer, Pierre Pringuet, together with four Deputy Managing Directors.



Biographies

Thierry Billot, 53, graduated from ESCP, joined Pernod Ricard in December 1982 as Internal Auditor. He became Finance and Administration Director of Pernod in January 1985 before being appointed Financial Director of Pernod Ricard in 1986.  In January 1992, he was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Austin Nichols in the US.  In October 1996 he was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Pernod. Since January 2002, he has been Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Pernod Ricard Europe.  
Michel Bord, 56, BA in Literature, joined the Group, in May 1991, as Managing Director of PRACSA (subsidiary of the Group in Spain) after having held various managing positions at Seagram. He was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Pernod Ricard USA in October 1996 before becoming Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Pernod Ricard North America. Since January 2006, he has been Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Pernod Ricard Americas.
