What happens after I submit an application?
Applications submitted to our subsidiaries are carefully considered. After review, the subsidiary will inform you of its decision by e-mail or post.
If your experience meets the job requirements, a recruitment officer will invite you to come in for an interview.
If your CV seems better suited to a role in one of our other subsidiaries, we will forward your application accordingly.
Is it possible to move from one company to another within the Group?
Pernod Ricard’s Human Resources department has a mobility policy in place to facilitate movement within the Group. This policy enables employees to move from one company to another as positions become available, and also helps to ensure a smooth transition.

Does the Group have a training programme?
Pernod Ricard organises induction seminars for newly hired executives and for those taking on new responsibilities in an international role to inform them about the Group’s culture and organisational structure. In addition, the Pernod Ricard Professional Training Centre as well as the Group subsidiaries offer a permanent training programme for all employees.

What are the Group’s key figures?
At 30 June 2007, Pernod Ricard’s key figures were as follows:
- the world’s n°2 in spirits, with 78 million cases* sold
- the world’s n°4 in wines and champagnes, with 24 million cases sold
- consolidated sales: € 6,443 million
- Group share in net profit: € 831 million
- workforce: 17,800 employees in 70 different countries

Why did the Group acquire Seagram in 2001?
In 2000, Pernod Ricard started to return to its core business of wines and spirits. In 2001, the Group acquired 38% of the Seagram wines and spirits business, thereby moving up to n°3 in the wines and spirits sector. The Group acquired the business from Vivendi Universal for US$3.2 billion.
Already n°1 in Europe, Pernod Ricard became n°2 in Asia, Central America and South America. With the Seagram purchase, the Group also climbed to n°6 in North America.
Pernod Ricard acquired several brands in the deal, including:
- Chivas Regal, The Glenlivet and Royal Salute whiskies
- Martell cognac
- Seagram’s Extra Dry gin
Why did the Group acquire Allied Domecq in 2005?
In July 2005, Pernod Ricard acquired Allied Domecq in a deal worth €10.7 billion. Based in the UK, Allied Domecq produced and distributed a wide range of wines and spirits worldwide: Beefeater gin, Ballantine’s whisky, Stolichnaya vodka, Malibu and Kahlúa liqueurs, Mumm and Perrier-Jouët champagne, among others.
The acquisition was financed in partnership with Fortune Brands, with €6.6 billion contributed by Pernod Ricard and €4.1 billion by its partner. The purchase promoted the Group to the rank of world n°2 in wines and spirits and helped:
- complement and complete its portfolio of Premium brands
- strengthen its international presence in high-potential markets, namely North America.
