15 key brands

Pernod Ricard owns some of the most prestigious brands in wines and spirits. The Group has built this impressive brand portfolio by choosing to refocus on its activity and divesting its non-alcoholic activities.

This has allowed the Group to return to its core business and make several acquisitions, including:

  • 1988: Irish Distillers (Jameson),
  • 1989: Orlando Wyndham (Jacob’s Creek) ,
  • 1993:creation of Havana Club International (Havana Club)
  • 2001: a share of Seagram’s wines and spirits business (Chivas Regal, Martell, The Glenlivet, etc.)
  • 2005: Allied Domecq (Ballantine’s, Malibu, Kahlúa, Beefeater, Stolichnaya, Mumm, Perrier-Jouët, Montana).
  • 2008: V&S (ABSOLUT VODKA)

With Ricard, these acquisitions comprise Pernod Ricard’s “Top 15” brands.
These key brands account for half of the Group’s profits and almost 70% of its advertising expenses.
They are the most profitable brands, and they offer strong growth potential.
